The EP3 Engineering and Construction team were successful in the award of supporting our client with the Demobilisation of 3rd Party Equipment from a semi-submersible.

The scope entailed the provision of:

  • Project management and project logistics
  • Construction Supervision
  • Construction Trade Labour (Welders, Platers and NDT)
  • Construction equipment, consumable and materials

This project was executed by a small team who integrated into an existing team offshore, worked well within the team, communicated and executed a successful workscope including keeping an excellent safety record.

The construction scope entailed removing equipment seafastenings and reinstating the deck to existing as-built condition. This included reinstatement of the KBC support, rig access ways and bumper rails.

From working in close partnership with the offshore operations team; EP3 were able to work to the Client’s schedule and ensure scope completion to allow the rig coming off location on the target date.

This required the EP3 Teams attendance at rig operational daily meetings, concise daily reporting, co-ordination of 3rdparties, house-keeping and a strict adherence to the clients PTW system.

The scope was enhanced by EP3’s extensive Engineering and Construction knowledge that allowed effective planning of the scope and coordination of combined construction team (EP3, client and 3rd Party) without any compromise on safety or quality.

A total of 1003 offshore manhours were completed over 10 day with no safety incidents recorded. The construction work was completed in accordance with DNV requirements.

EP3’s team were commended on their approach to safety and completed the workscope on time, on budget and incident free.
